1) Fry Words:  These are words that the student should know when they are in a certain grade.  Depending on each level each student is on, they will read these words to a teacher and if a teacher approves the student then gets to highlight them off.  Each night the student should bring home the sheet and study the words they don’t know.

 

 

 

 

 

   2) Apples To Apples:  This game may actually help the children read what each card says and to understand what they say.  When students read each card, yet do not know what it is, they are obligated to ask or to proceed with research to figure out what it is.  The students want to win the game so they want to understand what each and every card means.
